Here are some everyday hair care tips that will improve the condition, look and feel of your hair.
While this may be obvious to some people, it’s very overlooked by many others. Living a healthy lifestyle will make your hair healthier. Excessive stress, smoking, lack
of
exercise and poor eating habits are not healthy for your hair.
And be sure to get plenty of rest. Poor sleep habits are not good for you or your hair!
If possible, try to avoid using hair styling products with alcohol. The alcohol in these products can dry and damage your hair.
Before swimming in a pool, wet your hair with water from the shower or a sink, so your hair will soak up the initial water instead of the chlorinated water. This will
help to prevent chlorine damage to your hair.
When swimming in a pool it’s a good idea to wear a cap to protect your hair from chlorinated water. If you choose not to wear a cap make sure you shampoo and condition
your hair right after you’re done swimming. This will help to clean the chlorine from your hair right away and avoid excessive damage.
Excessive hot air can damage your hair, so when using a hair dryer try to use the cool setting when possible.
Don't leave the blowdryer in one spot for more than a few seconds. Doing this can not only damage your hair, but it can burn your scalp. Always keep the blowdryer moving
and at a good distance from your hair.
To help your hair dry more quickly, pat your hair dry with a towel and let the remaining moisture in your hair dry naturally, when possible.
To avoid snarls in your hair, use a pick or run your fingers through your hair as it dries to remove any tangles, before your hair dries completely.
